Assault

Assault (a) “Assault” means:

           (1) Unlawfully attempting to use physical force against another person; or

           (2) Intentionally placing another person in reasonable apprehension of immediate bodily harm.

 If you have been charged with assault in Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas,Boulder City, Mesquite, or any place in Clark County or Nye County,  it is because a prosecutor believe you attempted to use physical force against another person or placed another person in reasonable apprehension of immediate bodily harm.

It is a misdemeanor if the prosecutor does not believe you have a weapon, and a felony if the prosecutors does believe you had a weapon. You are facing 1 to 6 years in prison if convicted of assault with a deadly weapon.
